Women's Basic Leggings

A high-waisted legging in a deep burgundy, cut to a cropped length that finishes just above the ankle bone. The waistband is the part that matters: it is wide, roughly 5 inches, cut in one piece with no drawcord and no elastic ring, so it sits flat across the stomach and does not fold over when you bend.

The fabric is a brushed nylon and elastane knit with four-way stretch and a soft matte face — the kind that holds its shape through a full day rather than going baggy at the knee. It is squat-opaque, meaning the knit stays dense enough not to go sheer when stretched. There is no seam up the centre front, which is the detail that keeps the front clean.

Wear them for training, yoga, travel or under a long coat in winter. A hidden pocket is set into the inside of the waistband for a card or a key. Machine wash cold inside out, hang dry, and skip fabric softener — it coats the fibre and kills the stretch.
